Viridiscape was established to address recurring challenges I observed while working in and around municipal systems:. Cities often have strong sustainability plans, accessibility standards, and climate goals, yet event organizers and space operators are left to interpret and implement these requirements on their own. Public events, markets, and outdoor spaces are complex environments shaped by infrastructure, circulation, safety, accessibility, climate, and human behavior. They require more than traditional event planning. They require planning expertise grounded in the built environment.
My background in urban and regional planning and infrastructure design informs every project I take on. I approach temporary and permanent spaces with the same rigor used in long-range planning. Through Viridiscape, I support clients with zero-waste strategies, ADA-ready site design, climate-adaptive planning, and coordination with municipal departments. This work often supports compliance with city green event ordinances and climate action frameworks in places like Austin and San Antonio, while also helping clients exceed minimum requirements to create higher-quality experiences.
In addition to consulting and design services, I develop practical tools and guides, checklists, vendor packets, and training materials that make sustainability easier to implement consistently. At the core of my work is a belief that public spaces and events play a critical role in shaping how people experience their communities. Thoughtful design can improve comfort, reduce environmental impact, and foster inclusion.
Through Viridiscape Design Studios, my goal is to help communities create places that function smoothly, meet regulatory and sustainability goals, and feel welcoming to everyone. When you work with Viridiscape, you’re partnering with a planner who understands both policy and place, who is committed to designing environments that support people, communities, and a more resilient future.
